According to the International Labor Organization, child sexual exploitation is a violation of the Human Rights of that sector and a form of economic exploitation that occurs when one or more people attract and use children and adolescents in sexual activities, with the objective of satisfying their interests or those of third parties in exchange for some remuneration, above all, economic.
In that sense, Common Childhood considers that "this type of exploitation is the most extreme form of violence that adults can exercise against minors, which is often the result of a previous history of abuse from the family nucleus." The organization''s report adds that this crime not only threatens children, but against society as a whole.
In Spain, according to 2013 data from the Ministry of Interior, sexual exploitation can affect 12,000 people in Spain and generates a business of five million euros a day in our country. In Spain, the figures presented by the Security Bodies, despite being the most reliable, represent only 20% of the real cases, as indicated by different expert sources.
In 2009, the Security Corps identified 228 minors victims of these crimes, while according to figures from the Ministry of Interior, 264 cases of corruption of minors / disabled were reported, including cases of child prostitution.
Although there are no real figures of Spanish tourists traveling for sexual purposes or the existence of sex tourism in Spain because it is a clandestine activity, together with its cross-border nature that promotes impunity, it is estimated that 40,000 Spaniards travel annually to Having sex with children and adolescents, mainly to destinations in Central and South America.

UNICEF proposes a comprehensive response to eradicate commercial sexual exploitation of minors, including:

The National Committee against Child Commercial Sexual Exploitation has been created. All collaborators of H10 Hotels must promote, disseminate and / or participate in activities carried out by social and / or governmental organizations on this subject.

Guidelines

• Sensitize the members of the H10 Tindaya hotel about the importance and magnitude of the problem of child sexual exploration worldwide, in Spain and in Europe in general.
• Promote the active participation of H10 Tindaya, in orientation programs, dissemination and management of actions that lead to the eradication or reduction of child sexual exploitation, which promote social organizations or government agencies in the Area.
• Provide information to staff on this issue to generate social awareness that contributes or adds efforts to reduce this problem.
• Channel or report any action that represents signs of sexual exploitation to child protection agencies.
• Support organizations or children''s shelters, as well as training centers for young people.
• Support from our Tour Operators or travel agencies that are within our facilities by placing posters in their offices asking for support for anti-sex tourism campaigns with girls and / or legislation in this regard; and they can establish a national or regional Code of Conduct for their members.

Our main objectives related to environmental management are the following:
1. Certification

In order to broadly satisfy the sustainability criterion including socio-economic impacts and staff welfare, we are certified by Biosphere in 2018.

2. Energy supply and management.

The H10 Tindaya hotel has an electricity consumption of 15.87 Kw / h per customer per night (suggested no more than 25). Operationally, the H10 Tindaya hotel promises the following:

• Ensure that all heavy machinery and electrical equipment purchased in the future is classified as energy efficient (grade A or 5 depending on the destination).
• Ensure that all personnel are trained in energy saving.
• Ensure that management systems are implemented that allow REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE work items that are used in the daily work of the hotel.
• Ensure that more than 60% of the hotel light comes from energy-saving LED bulbs.

3. Energy saving initiatives.

Through operation, the H10 Tindaya hotel ensures optimum energy efficiency, promising the following:

• We use energy saving light bulbs or LED bulbs in all public areas, accommodation and office areas.
• Bathroom lights in common areas, hallways, basements and staff areas are equipped with infrared sensors.
• Outdoor lighting is controlled with light sensors and timers.
• All rooms are equipped with magnetic keys.
• The hotel undergoes periodic reviews by external companies that guarantee the proper functioning of the electrical installation, which optimizes the use and efficient consumption, avoiding spikes due to its malfunction.

4. Water management.

The H10 Tindaya hotel, without compromising the comfort or health and safety of the guest, promotes the incorporation of water saving devices and procedures to minimize the overall consumption of water. The objective of water consumption is a ratio of 0.36 per stay.

• The gardens will be watered during the early morning and the lawn areas will be minimized, replacing them with more mimetized gardens with the natural environment of the area.
• All faucets and showers in the rooms will be equipped with water flow reducers, as follows:
• 4 liters per minute for faucets
• 9 liters per minute for showers
• All sinks must be equipped with a partial discharge or double discharge cistern.
• There is a desalination plant to take advantage of the proximity to the sea and thus generate self-supply of this resource.

6. Hot water supply

All hot water for the rooms, when possible, is heated from:

• Efficient electric boilers (formerly oil boiler system)
• Return water: a water heating system is used by heat exchangers prior to its deposit in storage tanks.
• Pool water is also heated using the residual heat of the AC heat exchangers.

7. Waste management

The hotel minimizes its production of solid waste in all areas of the hotel and encourages guests to join its recycling program. Specifically, the hotel:

• Recycle or compost all glass, paper, cardboard, oils, light containers or organic waste.
• Minimizes the use of paper and plastic for guests.
• You have eliminated drinking straws and cocktail removers.

8. Chemical uses

Where possible, the hotel avoids the use of chemicals that do not appear in the list of those previously allowed by the ONU  for Food and Agriculture (FAO). It will ensure that all chemicals that are in use are disposed of safely and that they have been working without them for years.
The use of chemicals is also minimized, replacing them with products that are not harmful to the environment.
Our vision
By 2020, the H10 Tindaya hotel is committed to increasing the purchase of wholesale packaged products in order to reduce the amount of waste it produces.
All staff will have attended the training course in environmental matters to understand the positive impacts that REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE can have on the daily operation of the hotel, in their lives and in those of the community.
The water consumption of the general exploitation of 2020 will be reduced compared to the 2019 data, implementing the following practices: staff training, raising customer awareness and optimizing water management in the facilities.
In our commitment to reducing the use of paper, we have installed digital information totems where all the environmental and social policy of H10 Tindaya is exposed, as well as information on the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle system implemented in the hotel, seeking collaboration of our guests
